From September 5, 2022, the parking system in Budapest will change significantly, as part of this, you will have to pay more and longer for parking in some places, and you will also have to pay for parking in many streets where you have not paid for it before.

In the database of MVM Mobiliti's partner, the National Mobile Payment System, on September 3, 2022 (from midnight), the new zones established on the basis of the Decree and the modified zone parameters will become available.

Please note that from the end of the parking fee payment hours on September 2nd (6 or 8 p.m. depending on the zone) until midnight, it will not be possible to start parking in the Budapest zones pre-booked for the start of operation on September 5th (rural towns are not affected by this restriction!).

In connection with the changes, new zone stickers are being prepared, which will be posted by the relevant parking operators.

Regarding the change, some zone codes will be deleted, while other zone codes will be kept, and new zone codes will be introduced. With the abolition of zone codes, only the zone classification (zone code) of the toll zones changes, while maintaining the obligation to pay fees in the affected areas. The new zone allocation and classification of the parking areas will be available on the website https://nmzrt.hu/ from September 3, 2022.
